5 simple party cocktails recipes

Here are five quite simple cocktail recipes that you can easily make at home or at a party. You won't not need any exotic equipment or lots of components that are difficult to find.

Aperol Spritz

The Aperol Spritz cocktail is one of the fanciest summer cocktails in Europe. Today, this amber-orange drink can be found on numerous terraces in big cities, and in cozy places on the Mediterranean coast.

Ingredients:

  • 60 ml. prosecco
  • 30 ml. soda
  • 60 ml of Aperol
  • Orange

Fill a glass with ice cubes, pour in all the ingredients and stir carefully. Add an orange slice.

Negroni

The Negroni cocktail is considered as an aperitif made of gin and vermouth. The invention of this cocktail is attributed to the Italian Count Camillo Negroni. This cocktail is included in the World cocktails rating according to the version of the International Bartenders Association.

Ingredients:

  • 30 ml. dry gin
  • 30 ml. bitter
  • 30 ml. vermouth (sweet or semisweet)

Fill an Old Fashioned glass with ice, pour in all the ingredients and stir. Garnish with an orange slice.

Moscow Mule

The Moscow mule cocktail is made with vodka, ginger ale and lime juice, and is served in a copper mug. The Popularity of this cocktail began to grow in USA in the 1950s after the growing of vodka popularity. The drink was named so because Americans perception that vodka came from Russia.

Ingredients:

  • 60 ml. vodka
  • 120-180 ml. ginger beer
  • 1/2 lime

Squeeze lime juice into a copper mug or highball glass, drop in the spent peel. Add ice cubes, pour in the vodka and ginger beer to taste.

Martini Dry

Cocktail-aperitif, which received a cult status due to reflection in literature and cinema. Green olives are often used for decoration. They set off a strong taste of gin and vermouth.

Ingredients:

  • 60 ml. gin
  • 30 ml. dry vermouth
  • lemon or olives

Combine all ingredients in a mixing glass and add ice cubes. Stir well, add olives or a lemon slice.

Sidecar

The Sidecar is a cocktail traditionally made with cognac, orange liqueur (Cointreau, Grand Marnier, Grand Gala or another triple sec), and lemon juice. The exact origin of the cocktail is unknown, but the prevailing view is that it was invented at the end of the First World War, in London or in Paris.

Ingredients:

  • 60 ml.VSOP cognac
  • 30 ml. triple-sec liquor
  • lemon juice

Fill cocktail shaker with ice, add all the ingredients and shake for 10 seconds. Strain into a chilled cocktail glass using strainer, garnish with orange or lemon zest.
